About Us

Creating Meaningful Impact

Marathon’s Kenai Refinery is putting on a world class event to support those in need this summer. Our goal is to help bridge the gap in the recent food crisis in Alaska and provide a unique networking experience for participants.

The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank (KPFB) is a non-profit organization that provides food to over 40 communities and over 40 non-profit agencies across the Kenai Peninsula Borough of Alaska. In the Kenai Peninsula Borough, the current Alaska SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) backlog has led to an approximate 30% increase in people seeking help from KPFB.

KPFB distributes USDA Commodities, administers an emergency direct service food program, collects and redistributes food through the warehouse distribution program for agencies and communities, and serves a hot meal every weekday. The food bank also ensures that nothing is wasted through their recycling and food reclamation programs. They are the only food bank in Alaska that has such a wide variety of programs.

Thank you for joining the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank in its mission to end food insecurity on the Kenai Peninsula!
